Newly appointed partner at Lea Vale Medical Group 2018
I am immensely proud to have become the first UK Paramedic (i think) to be invited to join as a partner into GP practice.
Sixty8 Medical is continually developing innovative learning resources and we are now working on a quick reference book series called Fundamentals of Primary Care. This is In partnership with Class Publications https://www.classprofessional.... so we have released Dermatology in 2020 and are working on other titles such as Head & Neck (ENT) and Muscular-skeletal (MSK) and Paediatrics.
We also supply equipment bags and rucksacks for the ambulance services with an incentive to improve on quality, design, costing and lead times. We can offer bespoke designs or changes that suit the customers requirements rather than just supplying off the shelf products.
Please note - we are NOT a recruitment company.
My Clinical Background
I joined Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Ambulance Service, which is now East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) in 1993 working on the Patient Transport Service until I progressed to front line duties. Achieving my Paramedic Status in 1996 and then my Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) Qualification in 2003.
I became the local ECP Clinical Lead for EEAS and was responsible for the implementation of the North and East Hertfordshire ECP teams as well as running several audited projects for the trust to promote effective use of the Ambulance service resources and reducing hospital admissions.
Previous joint trial for ECP grade clinician to work for Urgent Care Cambridge (UCC) (now Herts Urgent Care - HUC) which allowed me to develop my clinical experience as well promote the ECP role. I'm still very passionate about promoting Paramedics/ECP's/Nurse's and Physicians Associates within a variety of primary care environments.
